Chasing the sunrise

I love the sky.  I have an entire file in Photoshop labelled, "Sky."  I love to watch the colour, the clouds, and the way it seems almost alive.  I'm hoping that as time goes on, I'll learn to photograph it well.

This picture was taken November 22, 2011.  I was in my pyjamas, and I saw the sun coming up behind my garage, and I ran out to capture it before it left.  I wish that cord in the middle of the picture wasn't there, but we need that if we are to have electricity in our house.  The squirrels run along the top of it.  I could take it out if I wanted to, but one about pictures is that often, I just like it to be real, not fabricated.  The reality is the power line is there.

This is the same general direction, but off to the side, looking at one of my neighbour's birdhouses.  This one was taken in April.  I'm sure a meterologist could tell me why the sky has different shades than the sky in the fall.

This picture was taken the same day as the birdhouse.  I was out there for a while; in my pyjamas.  One of these days, I'm going to go to a church parking lot here in town where I have an unobstructed view of the sunrise.  That means getting up and at 'em early and having the coffee on.
