This church is in southern Manitoba, where my father's family emigrated to from Belgium at the turn of the 20th century. My great-grandfather helped build this. Although it's been renovated over the years, the basic structure is the same as the original. My great-great-parents are buried in the cemetery in behind the church. This was the first time I ever used a Canon Rebel. Someone loaned it to me so I could try it out before I bought one. These were taken in October 2010.
When I was a teenager, and I spent my summers at the farm with my family, I chummed around with the young crowd, going to baseball games, bonfires, and all that fun stuff young folks do. This picture below is the ballpark which is behind the church. It is not what it looked like when I frequented the place. I sat on many a warm summer nights watching a ball game from those rickety bleachers. I assume the rusty barrel is the same one!
