St. Alphonse

That is the name of the place where my father's maternal grandfather settled when he came to this country from Belgium.  The day I visited here, I was looking for my great grandfather's grave.  His name was Angelus Sierens.  I saw a funeral card at my aunt's when I visited there a few years ago.  It was written in Flemish.  I never did find the headstone, but the Manitoba Historical Society was kind enough to help  me with a location for a future visit.   The church was built in 1886, and the wings and steeple added in 1930.
