This Bark Won't Bite
The colours of fall are not restricted to leaves and sky. When you get close to things, you can see; even tree bark. I should have made a note of what kind of tree this was. All I know is that it wasn't a maple.
We may not think the bark is all that interesting from far away.
But when we get even closer, it makes us see all kinds of pictures. I thought this looked like the surface of the moon. My husband thought it looked like an ariel shot of a forest, likely because of the yellow.
The fact that I know what the picture is (because I took it) affects my perception as well. Someone not knowing what it is could see something else.
Beauty is often in the little details.
