Last year, my daughter came home for a visit, and with her, the roses her boyfriend bought for her for Valentine's Day. They provided lots of photo opportunities.
By a window with mid afternoon light. I wish it had been warmer light. You can see they are getting just a little old by the tips of the petals.
About ten days later, under tungsten light, when it was dark outside, a different look altogether. I think that's dust on the top. I purposely left them to dry out so I could take the petals off for her and save them.
I have some of my own Valentine flowers from this year; tiny baby roses. I took some pictures of them with my macro lens, but I need to get a few more.
