Beauty in the old and ordinary

I love the history of my country, and I love the history of the place of my birth, Saskatchewan. When I was visiting my folks, my husband and I went west of the airport to take pictures of the sun going down. We found a collection of old buildings for a perfect foreground. Directly behind us was the encroaching ubrbanization. The city of Regina is booming, and new homes are being built where silent fields use to lay.

I loved these old buildings. Someone told me the picture looked "nostalgic," and I agree with her.

I have some other pictures from different angles, and when the sun began to sink lower in the sky.

I wonder who used those buildings, and what went on inside of them.
