Because I love the sunset
Twilight is my favourite time of the evening. Winter or summer, I love to watch the colours of the sky change. The very first camera I had of my own was one of those Polaroid things that spit the picture out. I hoped to capture the beauty of the sunset with it, but of course, it paled to the real thing. One of the reasons I love to take pictures is to save a beautiful moment.
I must have taken about forty pictures the night I went west of the airport in Regina. With the mosquitos buzzing at my head, I raced to capture as many shades of light as I could.
This was one of my favourites. It's not as dramatic as some of the ones I've seen, but I love those old buildings and the way the flowers in the bottom right corner are lit up by the sun, hiding behind the bushes.
